The Manaiakalani film festival: ¨Who is going to the Manaiakalani film festival today?asked Mrs.Sharma. ¨I am¨ I said. Ök”said Mrs Sharma. Rm 5 can girls make a line over here and can boys make a line over here?”asked Mrs.Sharma. ¨Hello Rm 6 can you just please sit between Rm 5 boys and girls.¨ So, after we were ready we went to the hoyts at Sylvia park. Then we arrived at Sylvia park at the hoyts. Then it started.Tamaki primary school and Sommerville school were watching movies from each school. My favourite part is when Sommerville school went to the gym. The reason why their movie was my favourite is because they are special people and they are working out at the gym. When the movies finished, we went back to school. As we went back to school, most of the kids fell asleep.

Panmure Pools

One school day I went with my whole school on a pool picnic day to panmure pools.

At the pools I saw a diving pool, a hydro slide, a gym and it looked fabulous.

At the pools I could hear kids shouting and screaming in the hydro slide.

I could hear people splashing around from the diving board and kids dashing into the pools.

I could hear kids having fun and I could hear kids and the seniors laughing.

At the pools I had butterflies in my stomach as I went down the hydro slide.

I let out a loud roar when I went on the hydro slide and I shield my eyes from the sun as I came out of the hydro slide. The pool was just big enough for the whole school.

I was excited when I went down on the hydro slide.

when I came down on the slide my dad smiled at me.

On the picnic day I had a great day and I looked forward to going to the panmure pools again.

Shakeout

Earthquake shakeout

“Rm 5 today we are going to do Drop,Cover and Hold. Which means we are going to have a earthquake shakeout.” Said Mrs.sharma.

Mrs.sharma was showing us a video of people showing us what to do when a earthquake shakes like someone that is shaking a bottle happens. They showed us how to do and it is very simple to do it is Drop which means to go on your ness, Cover which means go on your ness and cover yourself, Hold which means hold on to the edge of the table and still cover yourself.

So  the drill began to start but it was outside but even if we could still hear it we still did the Drop, Cover, and Hold.

As we waited the drill went off and mrs.kelly said “everyone it is safe but please check the roll to see if everyone is safe thank you.” Mrs.sharma checked the roll and everyone was safe in the school.

Not just Tamaki Primary school did but the whole New Zealand did it even our parents and aunt's, uncle’s and everyone.

Father’s day

On sunday was fathers day. For father's day me and my family had KFC at my mums parents house.

Then me and my family went to the church in otahuhu.

Then at church I did a tongan performance for father's day then I had time to spend with my father and he was happy.

Then my family and me were ready to say happy father’s day.Then after that I ran to him and hugged him and said Happy father’s day dad.

He was the coolest dad a had.

Boot camp

BOOT-CAMP

On Tuesday the 21st of July there was a huge surprise.

Mrs.sharma told Rm.5 that their is a surprise. Mrs.sharma could not tell us what it was about but she called up our house groups like she called out the Tripoli’s group and it was Hevani,Soane,Stephney,Paula,Deigshaun,

Arizona and she wrote Tri.

After Mrs.sharma said that after morning tea we have to sit on the blue benches.After morning tea we sat on the hard blue benches and we were very excited to get ready for the huge surprise so we went to the colorful dots and we sat on the dots in our house groups.

Not just Rm.5 got to the th surprise but is was for the whole school and when we were ready Miss.kyla came outside and said the teachers and she planned to have a whole school Boot-Camp.Everyone was excited because they were ready for it but i thought that it was a racing competition but it was’nt.

Then we went into 4 groups and went to each exercise but i went to star-jumps,skipping ropes,push ups,squats,sit ups, ho la hops,mountain climbers,burpees,medicine balls,lunges,high knees.But the easiest thing was star jumps because you just need to clap your hands the same time as you put your legs together.

After we finished we went back on the dots and we were talking about the reason why we had that is because of peaceful play and that means playing fairly.

After that we went back to our class and a was tired as a cat and hot as the sun.
