Figurative Language

WALA: Figurative Language.
SC: Write a definition that makes sense to me.
Write definitions for alliteration and hyperbole.

Today for writing I learnt the about the 2 figurative languages which are alliteration and hyperbole. The definition for Alliteration is when the first letter in most words are the same. An example for alliteraion is 'Alice's aunt ate apples and acorns around August.'

Another figurative language we learnt about today is hyperbole. During our writing session with Ms. Komor we talked about our definitions of hyperbole, we came up with alot of definitions for hyperbole for example, a hyperbole is when you are over exaggerating about stuff/things. After finding the definition for hyperbole Ms. Komor took a paper which had many examples for a hyperbole like I am so hungry I could eat a horse or It will only take me two seconds to get there.

After chatting with Ms. Komor about the 2 figurative languages (Alliteration and hyperbole.)
I now know what is the meaning for both alliteration and hyperbole.

  1. Hello Hevani!
I really like the way that at the end of you reflection you added a photo to make your reader understand more about what you done in writing. It's very funny because we used the same example for alliteration in our reflection! Ka Pai!
